Josephine was my co-faculty member for the two small business sessions I helped facilitate in Houston this summer. She is also an entrepreneur; the umbrella she is holding is an Uzo umbrella, and costs $160. That’s her business. Her cousin designed it, and she helps to market it. I know you might be thinking “$160? For an umbrella?” But damned if those things aren’t pretty cool. For one thing, they are asymmetrical - meaning that the handle and spindle (I imagine that that is what the main pole in an umbrella might be) aren’t in the middle of the thing, but off to one side, so that when it’s opened, you can hold it and have most of the umbrella actually cover you, your back, and perhaps the person sharing it with you. It’s made of this waterproof material that makes water bead right off, so that it doesn’t retain any water when it’s closed - so it doesn’t get damp or musty, ever. It’s light, and strong, and is really a pretty cool umbrella. Josephine is pretty damn cool herself.
