Marjorie has been a member of the Cambridge City Council for the past 10 years (her 5th term). Like my wife (#1) and Marc (#414), she attended Cambridge Rindge & Latin. She served as Vice Mayor of Cambridge from 2004-2006. In 1999, she was the youngest woman ever to be elected to the Cambridge City Council and she remains 1 of only 13 women elected to city council in over 150 years. I met her when she brought her young son to Children’s Village annual fundraising barbeque. She had been tangentially involved in CV’s successful search for a new space in Cambridge - which my wife, as a member of the Board of Children’s Village, helped spearhead over the past year.
