This is Kalamazu, as she’s known here on Tumblr. Given the number of followers she has, I imagine many reading this know her already, through Tumblr. I met Kally for the first time in person yesterday, but had walked past her cubicle at her workplace many times in my visits to her company (to visit my friend Levon, #124) without ever knowing that we followed each other on Tumblr. It was only when she mentioned in a post that she worked for a soup company in Massachusetts that I put two and two together. Yet, because she shares much on Tumblr, I felt like there was much I already knew, and we seemed to hit it off swimmingly in our little mini-tweetup. Kally is one of my favorite presences here on Tumblr. I always enjoy reading her posts, whether they are casual observations, revelations about her relationships, or her drawings, which are pretty darn good. Plus, her smile is incredible, she wears a tiny nose-stud which I’ve always dug on women, and while I usually prefer short hair to long, hers is truly impressive, a fiery red extending down to her elbows (at least). She was self-conscious about being photographed, which (I get the impression) surprised her a little. She need not have been. I really liked the results - took me a little while to choose one of the many I liked. This is one of only two of the 20-odd “finalists” that she liked. Plus, she introduced and indoctrinated me into the Lying Down Game, the results of which you can see here.
That thousandfaces blog is mesmerizing. Fantastic.
