    428 I met Candra when I was in Houston to teach a group of small business owners about the foundations of marketing strategy.  Her business, Artyce Designs, provides custom-designed shoes for special occasions, and has been featured in numerous magazines, including Weddings, Brides, and SmartMoney.  She started out in the Los Angeles area, and was in Houston to open her second store.  She is a graduate of the small business education program that I am a part of, and came to speak to one of the two Houston-based groups of small business owners I’ve worked with on the day I shot this.  She named the company after her mother.
